Set against the prior to the war South, THE BIRTH OF A NATION takes after Nat Turner (Nate Parker), a proficient slave and evangelist, whose fiscally strained proprietor, Samuel Turner (Armie Hammer), acknowledges an offer to utilize Nat's proclaiming to quell uncontrollable slaves.
